TL-US inverter line with Secure Power Supply adds two models to lineup
Two new inverter models recently joined to the TL-US line, both featuring SMA’s Secure Power Supply feature. The transformerless TL-US line now boasts the 3800TL-US and 6000TL-US models to widen the opportunities for homeowners who want the comfort of daytime emergency power without the need for batteries.
For homes with previously installed 100-amp electrical service, the Sunny Boy 3800TL-US was specifically designed to prevent the need to upgrade to a 200-amp service or limit the PV system to 3,000 watts. The Sunny Boy 6000TL-US and its higher power rating is ideal for large residential installs.
As part of the TL-US family, these two new models include Secure Power Supply, making it possible for the inverter to provide up to 1,500 watts of daytime standby power in the event of a grid outage. The transformerless design maintains high efficiency and reduced weight plus a simplified DC wiring concept.
Additionally, the model line is tested to UL 1699B standards and has integrated AFCI, meeting NEC arc fault requirements. Its leading CEC efficiencies, wide input voltage and extended operating temperature range, from -40 to 140 F, offer maximum power production under a variety of conditions.
A higher total power output results from the inverter’s shade tolerate OptiTrac™ Global Peak maximum power point tracking algorithm, and two MPP trackers to greatly increase system design flexibility. It also provides easy monitoring and control features through its large graphic display plus an optional plug-and-play Webconnect communication card for easy system monitoring and direct data transmission to Sunny Portal.
So, where will you install a TL-US?
Such a cool inverter! No matter where I go to train and no mater what the subject is, this inverter always makes it into the conversation.
