SMA will host three days of training at the Florida Solar Energy Center in Cocoa, Florida from February 18-20. SMA String Inverters for Residential and Commercial Applications

SMA Residential Storage Solutions

On the second day of this valuable in-person training you will learn how to plan and design future-proof solar systems with SMA residential storage solutions. Both the Sunny Boy Storage and the Sunny Island battery inverters allow maximum independence and significant reduction of electricity costs. Our trainers will also cover key aspects such as:

• application scenarios for different systems
• battery expertise and criteria for battery selection
• tips on designing and integrating PV and Storage solutions into the SMA Home, i.e. plant monitoring, visualization of energy flows and optimization of self-consumption

Each day of this class is eligible for five (5) NABCEP Continuing Education Units.

SMA Off-grid Solutions including Hybrid Controller

On the third day of this in-depth training, participants will learn from SMA Sunbelt experts about off-grid systems and the Hybrid Controller. They will also cover the design process and the capabilities of the system.

The Sunbelt team designed the Brando 2.6 MWh battery-storage system which provides 60% of the electricity needed at Marlon Brando’s private island in the South Pacific as well as the St Eustatius multi-MW/MWH system that allows the whole Caribbean island to run on PV and battery power during the day.  Join us for this training to learn how these not-so-micro grids are created.
