SMA named 2015’s most preferred PV inverter supplier by IHS

IHS Global Insight has once again named SMA the most preferred supplier of PV inverters. SMA has earned the top ranking in the report from the PV Inverter Customer Insight Survey by IHS every year since 2012, despite ongoing increases in competition within the PV marketplace.

In the years since 2012, a rapidly changing solar industry has placed intense demands on manufacturers to produce innovative and high-quality products at a faster pace than ever before. SMA was ranked as the top preferred brand by the widest margins in the United States, Germany and United Kingdom, with survey respondents indicating they use their preferred brand on a large majority of their projects.

SMA has also earned the prized top spot among suppliers of PV inverters from 2008 to 2014, every year the survey has been conducted to date.
