SMA Announces Key Promotions

SMA America is excited to announce the promotion of several key team members as the organization continues its path of growth and strategic expansion in all market segments including home, business, off-grid, hybrid and utility-scale PV.

 

 

Nhan Pimentel

Nhan Pimentel has been promoted to the U.S. Vice President of Home Solutions. Nhan started her career in solar over a decade ago and has a strong foundation in corporate finance, operations, sales and business development.  In the new role, Nhan will primarily be responsible for strategy, growth, and expansion of the Home Solution BU organization in the US.

 

 

Christopher McAuliffe

Christopher McAuliffe has been promoted to IT Supervisor, Americas. In his new role, Chris is responsible for all IT matters in the Americas region. The IT supervisor serves as the primary IT contact for services, projects and demands for the departments and divisions. Previously, Chris was the information technology process manager. He has been with SMA for nearly five years.

 

 

 

 

Ravi Dodballapur

Ravi Dodballapur has been promoted to the Senior Director of Application Engineering. He has repeatedly proven his expertise during the last 11 years in the role of director, applications engineering. In his new position, he is responsible for organizing and balancing the daily workload requirements of the application engineering team for home, business and utility-scale market segments. Duties include serving as an expert technical liaison for the applications engineering team and the sales management team, as well as the SMA Americas managing team.

 

 

Patrick Appleby

Patrick Appleby has been promoted to Sales Director, Large Scale. In the new role, Appleby is responsible for building and maintaining a high-performance sales organization to achieve the business objectives for SMA America. The solutions portfolio includes business, utility and storage products, including the corresponding service business. Appleby will also serve as the team leader for the NA project sales organization, consisting of approximately 12 individuals. Patrick has a solid record of leadership with SMA, as demonstrated throughout the last 5 years.

 

 

Chuck Smith

Chuck Smith has been promoted to SMA America’s new Sales Director, Distribution. For nearly 6 years Chuck has contributed to the SMA team and is responsible for building and maintaining a high-performance sales organization to achieve business objectives for the distribution business of the Americas region. This organization includes the entire portfolio of home, business and utility solutions and corresponding services. As the sales director, distribution, he will lead the team of external channel sales.

 

 

 

These structural changes come as SMA America has opened a new headquarters building for the Americas and is under the leadership of the new managing director of the Americas, Pat Berry.
