Renewable Energy Industry Buzzing After the Excitement of RE+
Last week 27,000 of our closest industry friends gathered in Anaheim, California, for the annual RE+ tradeshow. After multiple years of pandemic withdrawal, the enthusiasm at the in-person gathering was palpable.
“SMA had a robust presence throughout RE+ and we’re thrilled with the success of the week,” said Pat Berry, Managing Director of SMA America. “From connecting with people across the industry to discussing SMA’s new smart energy solutions to mingling with old and new friends after a long break, it was exactly the show we needed. We’re all heading back to the office energized and inspired for what’s next.”
SMA had the standout booth of the event, in spot #1 on the Grand Plaza, where we displayed a range of new products across all market segments and offered previews of new solutions. Our booth was bustling with interest and activity throughout the show! A few popular displays included:
- SMA’s Energy Home System, which brings together several solutions to create a one-of-a-kind ecosystem of energy control and optimization for homeowners.
- Our highly sought-after commercial solution - the new Sunny Tripower X featuring 20, 25 and 30kW power classes.
- The Sunny Highpower PEAK3 Flex, giving large scale customers flexibility to repower.
Experts representing SMA’s home, commercial and large scale teams were all on hand to talk with customers and provide additional insight on the solutions.
Throughout the tradeshow we also heard from attendees seeking clarity and perspective on the impact of the Inflation Reduction Act. Read more about SMA’s outlook on this legislation here.
Another highlight of the week was the time SMA spent communicating with our favorite industry media partners. SMA hosted a stop along the PV Magazine Walking Tour, where Pat Berry and Rob Lamendola, Home Solutions Product Manager, showcased the latest in energy storage including the new SMA Sunny Boy Smart Energy hybrid inverter.
Our experts also sat down with Nico Johnson, the host of SunCast Media’s podcast, for a 30-minute interview on the future of home energy management. Thanks to Nhan Pimentel, Vice President of Home Solutions for the Americas, and Jan Van Laethem, Executive Vice President, Business Unit Home Solutions, for participating in this podcast.
Last but certainly not least, SMA held several special events for our authorized distributors, which were well-attended and informative for everyone. Thanks to the following partners for having some fun with us and learning along the way: Krannich, Soligent, BayWa r.e., Fortune Energy, WESCO, and K2 Systems.
We’ll be riding the feel-good wave of the trade show for a while, and we are already counting down to RE+ 2023 in Las Vegas!
Feel free to contribute!
