Behind the scenes: Micro inverter production in Denver
Micro inverters have stirred dramatic changes in residential solar. These small yet powerful inverters need to be built exceptionally tough to withstand the harsh rooftop elements they’re exposed to, especially over the 25-year lifespan of the Sunny Boy 240-US.
After initial development and production runs in Germany, we shipped our entire production system to our Denver, Colorado, assembly facility. Take a sneak peak at the assembly robots in action just before beginning their trek to the Centennial State.
Enjoy!
Just like the Tesla Electric car assembly in California. My Inverter is an SMA also and was made in Colorado and is the best in the world. Just like my electric vehicle that runs off my solar . It runs my home and EV and still makes 10% extra so the utility pays me each year. Go USA Go Solar PV.
Does this quality as Made in America to get NAFTA exemptions for import to Mexico or is it Made in America with Imported Parts (i.e. a qualified Made in America product)
Watching that robot live in action at the factory is one of the coolest things I have seen in this industry. Haven’t seen anything like it.
