Season’s Greetings and a Happy New Year!

Thanks to Greta Thunberg and the Fridays for Future movement, climate change has found its way to the top of the global agenda. And rightly so! Despite the disappointing outcome of the climate change conference in Madrid, there is no alternative: CO₂ emissions must be reduced, businesspeople and politicians have to act and we need to change our behavior – around the world.

We at SMA have spent almost 40 years working to expand renewable energies. Where we can, we exert influence, work to persuade others and implement flagship projects. We aim to be a role model for sustainability. We are now taking the opportunity to catch our breath as we close the SMA headquarters in Germany for the holidays.

Christmas goose or potato salad with sausages?

As part of this year’s Christmas greetings from the headquarters, several SMA employees who do not come from Germany originally but work in Kassel have been talking about Christmas in their adopted country. After all, German Christmas traditions can certainly be both entertaining and perplexing, but also worth trying. Find out for yourself what our SMA colleagues think of Christmas in Germany.

The headquarters is taking a winter break

Our SMA headquarters will be closed for the holidays starting on December 20, 2019, and will reopen on January 1, 2020.

As usual, the SMA Service Line and exclusive service consulting will be available up to and including December 20, 2019. After the holidays, Service colleagues will be there to help you again starting on January 2, 2020.

The last replacement device or spare part will leave our factory on December 19, 2019. Deliveries will restart as usual on January 2, 2020.

You can use the Online Service Center during the holidays. Your queries will be processed again starting on January 2, 2020.

SMA Customer Service is not available during the holiday closure but will be back to handle your requests starting January 6, 2020.
