10 Things You Shouldn’t Miss from SMA Australia at Clean Energy Week

If you are attending Clean Energy Week in Sydney this week, here is a sneak preview on what you can expect from SMA Australia. At the exhibition, held at Sydney Showground, we will focus on our innovative storage solutions, which offer private households and commercial operations greater independence in their use of energy. Our Sales teams will be available to explain our range of solutions and our Service team will be on hand to answer technical questions.

 

A glimpse of our solutions on show:
Smart Home Flexible Storage System1) Residential Solutions

The SMA Flexible Storage Solution will be the focal display at this year’s event and it will be the official launch of the solution in Australia, showing a live system of the solution via Sunny Portal. In addition to the Flexible Storage Solution, we will introduce the Sunny Boy 240 and exhibit the Micro Inverter and the Multigate device.

 

2) Commercial Solutions

We will introduce you to the new SMA Commercial Offer, known as the Sunny Tripower Premium Package. This package is designed for single-site systems 50kW or greater in size, and includes bundled services such as 10-year warranty, Commissioning Validation and Remote Service. Speak to a member of our Sales team about this exciting package. We will display the Sunny Tripower 5000-9000TL, Webconnect, Cluster Controller & the Power Control Module.

 

3) Fuel Save Solution

In remote regions, such as mining sites and isolated Pacific Islands, there is growing demand for greater independence from increasing fuel costs and having a reliable energy supply. The SMA Fuel Save Controller won this year’s Intersolar Award and is the central part of the SMA Fuel Save Solution, which ensures the stable operation of photovoltaic diesel hybrid systems and at the same time reduces operating and maintenance costs. 4) Utility Scale Solutions

Our Utility Scale solutions show the diversity of SMA and our offerings. OurUtility team will be available to discuss our solutions for the large-scale market and talk about the SMA’s vision in this sector.

 

5) SMA Solar Academy and SMA Advance

SMA Australia’s Solar Academy Trainer will be on our booth to tell you more about our new training schedule, CPD points available and explain the content of the trainings. You can also learn more about our customer loyalty programme, SMA Advance, which provides marketing support to help solar power professionals sell SMA products.

 

6) Social Media

Our popular ‘Tech Tip’ videos will be displayed on several screens on our booth, with a live Twitter feed covering the event. We will display your solar projects on our Facebook page and be encouraging you to talk to our camera to tell us of your experiences with SMA and why you choose our products.

7) Other good stuff

We will be holding competitions throughout the week and you will have the chance to win extra-large Sunny Bears and other SMA goodies. We are looking forward to a special surprise which will that take place on our booth every day at 10.45am, so be sure not to miss out! We would also like you to join us on our booth for drinks before the ATRAA Dinner on Thursday. This is another good opportunity for you to talk to our team between 4.00pm and 5.00pm.

 

8) Presentations

Andros Cadavid, Application Engineer for Hybrid Energy Solutions will present at the ‘Off-Grid & Hybrid Systems’ session on Wednesday 23rd at 3:30pm. The venue is Parkview Room 1 Doltone House Darling Island Wharf, Pyrmont.

On Thursday 24that 11.00am, Peter Castle, Sales Director of Residential & Commercial Solutions, chairs the ‘Good Design of Grid Connect Battery Back-Up’ session.

Charles Wang, Application Engineer for Medium Power Solutions presents at the ‘Multi-Mode Inverter Face-Off’ session on the morning of Friday 25th at 11.00am.

9) 2014 Clean Energy Council Awards

Mark Twidell will be presenting the Clean Energy Council Awards on Thursday night at the ATRAA Dinner. Mark is SMA Australia’s Managing Director and Deputy Chair of the CEC.

We are pleased to hear there are a few finalists that used SMA products in their projects, so best of luck to Todae Solar, Going Solar, Next Power and Mode Electrical.

10) CEC Solar Clusters

The CEC continues to campaign hard to help save the SRES and have introduced a concept known as ‘Solar Clusters’. Mark Twidell of SMA Australia and Oliver Hartley of ePho have taken on the roles of ‘Cluster Champions’ for North and West Sydney. They would also like to include Central Coast solar companies in this cluster.

We’d like to invite solar companies and installers from North & West Sydney and Central Coast to attend a breakfast meeting on the Thursday morning of ATRAA to discuss our roles as cluster members.
